Places

Named addresses used by routes and matched against calendar event locations. Change one here when an address changes — routes refer to places by name, so nothing else needs editing. Clear a row's address to delete it. Latitude and longitude are optional; adding them to home enables the weather overlay.

Calendars

Feeds are read-only iCal URLs — no Google sign-in, nothing to re-authorise. In Google Calendar: Settings → the calendar → Secret address in iCal format. Public feeds (a school district, say) can be used directly. Feeds and rules live in the configuration below.

Invalid YAML or a structural error is rejected outright — the running config is never replaced by something that won't load. The previous file is kept as /data/config.yaml.bak.
